SIT Student Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Predeparture Orientation
Join us for a quick and informative SIT pre-departure orientation focused on student health, safety, and well-being. In this session, we’ll guide you through the support resources available from our office, help you set up the GeoBlue Insurance app, provide tips on traveling with medications, and explain how to access both medical and mental healthcare while abroad. There will be plenty of time for your questions at the end. *This session will be recorded and distributed to all enrolled students.

Mental Health and Resilience Abroad (Optional)
Studying abroad offers the chance to explore new cultures, food, languages, and meet new people. While this experience can be transformative, it also comes with unique challenges and stressors. In this two-hour workshop, we’ll explore science-backed strategies to build resilience and well-being abroad. Plus, hear insights from alumni on what worked for them in maintaining mental health during their SIT programs.

Tuesday, January 13, 2026 | 1:00 – 3:00 pm EDT | Regsiter

Identity Abroad (Optional)
As you prepare to study abroad, consider aspects of your identity. Studying away is an opportunity to engage with different cultures and people from other countries, but how do you fit in? Join the identity abroad session where staff and alumni of SIT will create space for conversations around identity abroad. Topics related to race/ethnicity, religion, LGBTQA+, gender, and more will be explored. And remember, even if you cannot relate, being part of the conversation can help you become a supportive ally and friend to your peers on the program.
