What is SIT First Year?
Through small cohorts, thoughtfully crafted field programs and a globe-spanning foundation to a liberal arts education, SIT First Year students become part of a family and community abroad, build intercultural relationships, and develop critical perspectives and analytical skills as they explore together.
Each semester is comprised of 13 required credits in highly transferable courses and a choice of electives that allow students to shape their experiences while developing core college success skills. With local staff and faculty and a youth leader, SIT First Year programs support a holistic introduction to the college experience in locations around the world.
