Dr. Jelena Loncar
Dr. Lončar is an assistant professor at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Political Science, where she teaches political sociology courses. She also works as a researcher in the Center for Democracy at the Faculty of Political Science, Belgrade and Ethnicity Research Center. She holds a PhD in politics from the University of York, UK. Her research interests include political representation, ethnic politics, quotas, and civil society. In recent years, her research has focused on the performance of minority representation and the performativity of the representative claims about and for minority groups. Her most recent publications include: “Accountability of Minority Representation: Methodological Advancements” (Nationalities Papers, 2018); “State-Building and Local Resistance in Kosovo: Minority Exclusion through Inclusive Legislation” (Communist and Post-Communist Studies, 2016); “Electoral Accountability and Substantive Representation of National Minorities: The Case of Serbia” (East European Politics and Societies and Cultures, 2016).
Dr. Rodoljub Jovanović
Dr. Rodoljub Jovanović holds a PhD in Human Rights: Ethical, Social and Political Challenges (Conflict and Cultures of Peace) from the University of Deusto, Spain. He is currently involved in an outreach program of the United Nation International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (UN IRMCT). His research takes an interdisciplinary perspective combining insights from social psychology, political science, and education to explore issues such as history education, inter-group processes and youth in post conflict-societies. His recent publications include: Reaching Peace by Teaching the War: How History Teachers in Kosovo Teach About the Kosovo War? (2022); The Next Generation: Nationalism and Violence in the Narratives of Serbian Students on the Break-up of Yugoslavia (Studies in Ethnicity and Nationalism, 2022); Controversy in The Classroom: How History Teachers in The Western Balkans Approach Difficult Topics? (Journal of Curriculum Studies, 2020).
