Andrea Asai is an admissions counselor at SIT Study Abroad, working with programs in Asia and the Pacific and the IHP Climate Change, IHP Rethinking Food Security, and IHP Social Entrepreneurship programs. She is an alumna of the India: Sustainable Development and Social Change program.
Andrea received her BA in international studies from the University of Oregon and her MA in international education from the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Development. She spent two years teaching English in Japan through the JET Program, where she further developed her Japanese language skills and had the opportunity to travel throughout Japan and to Thailand and South Korea. She is originally from California and enjoys running, baking, and watching college sports. Andrea is excited to work with students pursuing their passion to study abroad and to provide support in choosing the best program for their interests, completing the application process, and preparing for departure.
