*Fall 2020 New & Modified Programs

SIT is planning to run a portfolio of modified fall 2020 programs. The start date for SIT’s fall 2020 term has been pushed back to September 14. One program, Climate Change and the Arctic in Iceland, has an earlier start date.

Programs will begin with one to two weeks of online instruction before moving to the international program base. This postpones international travel until late September and shortens the in-country stay to fewer than 90 days for most programs, thus easing visa requirements for students.

IHP comparative programs have been redesigned to include two domestic sites before traveling to the third (international) site in early November. SIT has consolidated coursework for some programs operating in the same country in a way that reduces the number of programs in that location while maintaining academic content relevant to the combined programs.

SIT notified partner schools and students of these changes on May 5, 2020, and will communicate any additional changes to impacted students and institutions promptly. Program information and dates are being updated on our website. Pages linked below indicate those programs have been updated.
