Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with more than 400 million native speakers and dozens of dialects. Learn Modern Standard Arabic in this three-credit online course, which will involve approximately 15 hours of work a week for the nine weeks of the course’s duration. You will have three hours a week of synchronous instruction with the language instructor and can expect to spend about 10 hours a week on asynchronous tasks and about two hours a week on small group projects and assignments. You will rapidly learn to speak and understand Arabic while virtually experiencing Arab and Jordanian culture.
