Modified Programs: Summer 2020

SIT is working hard to meet the challenges of these times and to help keep students on track toward your academic goals while providing responsible, flexible and inspiring options for summer 2020.* While we cannot predict the status of the pandemic this summer, SIT Study Abroad is committed to presenting options for students who still hope to have an engaging experiential learning experience abroad.

Although we are unable to offer our complete roster of summer study abroad programs, we are still planning to run modified versions of certain programs this summer with later arrival dates and a five-week in-country program, prefaced by a one-week online component. The majority of the programs will run at a reduced academic credit load with corresponding adjustments to program tuition and room and board fees.

We are also offering a wide range of three-credit language courses with an optional three-credit January term in country for language immersion, and new virtual internship programs in Serbia and The Netherlands. In addition, we are developing new certificate programs with special topics; and study away options that address critical global issues from a domestic U.S.perspective. Details on these programs will follow soon.

*These changes may alter the number of credits available on our programs. Please check with your school’s Financial Aid and Study Abroad offices to review your choices and options. SIT scholarship recipients may also receive notification regarding adjustments to their summer awards with respect to changes in the SIT summer program fees.

Please check program pages soon as we update them with revised program information.
