Assistant Dean for SIT Study Abroad Admissions
Since 2008, Eric Wirth has provided leadership and oversight of the admissions policies, procedures, records, and communications practices for applicants and enrolling students for SIT Study Abroad. Eric supervises the admissions team responsible for application review, pre-departure preparation, and visa procurement for new students, while overseeing outreach to prospective applicants.
Eric has worked in the field of education abroad for the last decade and has held roles as an admissions counselor, program manager, resident director, and associate director at various study abroad and university programs. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Eric holds a master of arts in applied Hispanic linguistics, a bachelor of arts in Spanish, and a bachelor of science in hotel, restaurant, and travel administration. He has lived and worked extensively in Spain, with travel experience in Canada, the Czech Republic, Cuba, England, France, Greece, Morocco, and Serbia. When not basking in the great satisfaction that comes from working at a mission-driven institution like SIT, Eric enjoys languages, technology, traveling, and spending time in his local community in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts.
