ADVISORS & FACULTY

Each year, SIT Study Abroad enrolls students from more than 250 colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and other countries around the world. We welcome students from any accredited U.S. or international institution. We deeply value these partnerships with public and private institutions, where we work closely with study abroad advisors and faculty to foster a seamless study abroad experience for your students.

  • Program Assessment

SIT’s Academic Affairs Committee, composed of faculty from SIT Graduate Institute and SIT Study Abroad, reviews all curricular proposals and new program development. Our programs are accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).

  • Advising Resources

The admissions committee at SIT strives to select students who will be the best possible match for each program. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and many programs fill long before the published closing dates, so we encourage students to complete their application early. Students are encouraged to meet with study abroad advisors at their institution, academic advisors, and faculty to assist in program selection and preparation.

  • Advisor Portal

The SIT Advisor Portal is a resource for study abroad advisors to support students through the application process, from approving their participation to monitoring completion of the application and confirmation materials. It also provides resources for reviewing your school’s enrollment history by term, by program, and by major.

  • Visit a Program

SIT invites education abroad professionals, academic advisors, faculty members, and student affairs staff from universities and colleges throughout the US to visit an SIT program to acquire firsthand knowledge of SIT’s field-based academic programs.

  • Our University Relations Team

SIT’s University Relations department serves as the primary liaison to colleges and universities. Based across the country, members of the department regularly visit campuses to attend study abroad fairs; meet with students, administrators, and faculty; and conduct information, predeparture, and reentry sessions. Your university relations manager is also your primary resource for questions about the admissions and enrollment process or concerns regarding health and safety during the program.

Your university relations manager will strive to keep you updated about new program development, details of or changes to program curriculum or itinerary, and interesting opportunities for your students and alumni. We also encourage you to read the monthly newsletter, watch for great stories on the SIT blog and Facebook, and follow us on Twitter for advising resources.
