SIT Study Abroad welcomes applications from undergraduate students in good academic standing at an accredited college or university who have completed at least one semester of college-level coursework for summer programs, and at least one year of college-level coursework at the time of application for semester programs and preferably two years for IHP/Comparative programs. We are committed to increasing access to international education and to ensuring you have the information you need to successfully access funding for your study abroad program with us.

  • Independent Study Project (ISP) Proposal

Most programs prepare students to complete an in-depth, field-based project known as the Independent Study Project, which involves original fieldwork, a final presentation, and a formal research paper. Students will be required to examine the ethics of their research and consider its impact on local communities.

  • Billing

SIT Study Abroad maintains billing relationships with many colleges and universities. Home colleges and universities determine the type of billing relationship, as well as policies for financial aid transfer. It is the student’s responsibility to determine the nature of the billing agreement either by contacting his or her home school directly or by calling SIT.
